Every cleanser in this finder, and what the Korean label says

The quiz above matches you to a routine. This is the full set it draws from — 12 Korean cleansers I bought and used myself, with the verdict, the reason, and the number printed on the Korean label where there is one. Where a second product scores close to the first, the quiz now shows that runner-up too, with the reason you would take it instead.

Cleansing oils

Ma:nyo Pure Soybean Cleansing OilBought again
Bought this one again and again for over a year. No-fuss, reliably removes sunscreen and makeup without a second thought.
Take this one instead if you want the safest all-rounder and scent isn't an issue — it's the bottle I've rebought the longest.
No named-ingredient concentration required by Korean law — nothing in the product name to disclose. · 200mL · Read the full comparison
celimax Blackhead Jojoba Cleansing OilBought again
The only cleanser I keep repurchasing purely because of the results on congested pores, not just habit.
Take this one instead if congested pores are the actual problem — its jojoba is printed at 1,500ppm, not just named on the front.
Jojoba oil sits at 1,500ppm (0.15%) on the Korean label — enough to actually matter, not just a marketing name. · 150mL · Read the full comparison
Anua Heartleaf Pore Control Cleansing OilWill buy again
Lightest of the five oils by far. If your skin reacts to heavier oils, this is the one to try first.
Take this one instead if heavier oils make your skin react — it's the lightest of the five, even with heartleaf at only 10ppm.
Heartleaf (houttuynia) is only 10,000ppb — 10ppm on the label. The real first ingredient is ethylhexyl palmitate, a plain emollient. · 200mL · Read the full comparison
Round Lab 1025 Cleansing OilStill testing
Too early to call this one either way. Update coming once there's been enough real use.

Beauty of Joseon Ginseng Cleansing OilWon't repurchase
Formula does its job, but the scent is strong enough that I won't buy it again. Skip this one if fragrance bothers you at all.
Only worth it if scent doesn't bother you at all — the formula works, the fragrance is why I stopped.
Ginseng seed oil is 1,000ppm on the label. Formula performs well — the scent is the actual dealbreaker. · 210mL · Read the full comparison

Beauty of Joseon Radiance Cleansing BalmSituational pick
This is my sunscreen-and-light-makeup-only balm. Fragrance-free, gentle, but not built for a full face.
Take this one instead on sunscreen-and-tint days — fragrance-free and gentle, though its own box says it isn't built for a full face.
The box itself says it's for light makeup only — the brand recommends a different product for waterproof or heavy makeup. · 100mL · Beauty of Joseon Radiance Balm — its own box says it's for light makeup only, not waterproof or heavy makeup. So we left it out here. · Read the full comparison
beplain Mung Bean Milk BalmWill buy again
The only balm of the three that melts into liquid instead of staying waxy — less drag near the eyes, which matters if your skin reacts easily.
Take this one instead if fragrance is the dealbreaker and you still want a balm that can handle a full face.
Mung bean sits at 1,000ppm (0.1%); the 'milk' is soy ferment filtrate at just 300ppb. Melts to a liquid, unlike the other two balms. · 100mL · Read the full comparison

Cleansing foams & gels

BIOHEAL BOH Panthecell Repair Cica Cleansing FoamBought again
Rinses the cleanest of the four foams we compared. If your skin can handle actives, this is the one that actually finishes the job. One thing to know before you click: the tube I use is the 160ml foam, and what Amazon US actually stocks is BIOHEAL BOH's Bubble cleanser — a pump that dispenses ready-made foam. Same line, same PANTHECELL claim, different product. If you want the exact one I tested, you're looking at a Korean retailer.
Take this one instead if your skin is oily or breaking out — it's the foam I rebuy for congested weeks.
Has the most active ingredients of the four foams we tested — salicylic acid and a protease enzyme among them. · 160ml · Read the full comparison
Beauty of Joseon Green Plum Refreshing CleanserWill buy again
Best foam texture by far and the mildest ingredient list — just don't expect a squeaky-clean finish on its own.
Take this one instead if you want the fragrance-free foam — it's the only one here with no added scent.
Fragrance-free and low-pH. Ironically, the softest formula left the most residue behind of the four we tested. · 100ml · Read the full comparison
Round Lab 1025 CleanserWill buy again
No frills, does the job, costs less per ml than anything else on this list. Good default if you're not chasing a specific concern.
Take this one instead if you just want a plain daily foam — it suits every skin type on this list.
Cleanest ingredient list of the four foams, and the lowest price per ml by a wide margin. · 250ml · Read the full comparison
Anua Heartleaf 77% Quercetinol Foam CleanserSituational pick
Has fine exfoliating granules mixed in. Good if you want a light scrub built into your cleanse — skip it if your skin is reactive.
Take this one instead for oily, congested days when you want a deeper foam clean.
Heartleaf water makes up 33% of the formula — ahead of plain water on the ingredient list, a genuinely high concentration. · 150ml · Anua Quercetinol Foam — it has fine exfoliating granules mixed in, which isn't ideal for reactive skin. Left out for that reason. · Read the full comparison
